Andy Rouse

Andy Rouse is a British wildlife photographer who relies on fast shutter speeds at times to capture the animal he is photographing as clearly as possible. Animals can be more animated than humans (especially wild animals) however they will not stay still for you like humans would. So to get around it fast shutter speeds, alongside incredible creeping up' skills, are used.

It also allows him to capture photographs he otherwise wouldn't (e.g. a bid mid flight or an ADORABLE otter jumping) much like Jenkins and his sports photography. The photograph would be blurred ergo not as effective.

However as always with photographing with fast shutter speeds, the aperture is as large as possible leading to a shallow depth of field, which is fine when photographing only one subject but the issue is when you are trying to photograph multiple subjects that are different focus distances.
